KATHY  BRANSFIELD

After attending the Cincinnati High School for the Creative and Performing Arts, The Art Academy and D.A.A.P. at the University of Cincinnati, Kathy Bransfield embarked upon a series of travel adventures that took her around the country and as far away as New Zealand. During this period, she began her jewelry career while following the band, The Grateful Dead. She made and sold beaded jewelry to support her gypsy-like existence. She began working more and more with silver, which has ultimately led to her uniquely imaginative designs.

Her work is strongly narrative and visual, enhanced with language. Her pieces open up to reveal a meaningful quote, often "moving" people in emotional terms.

Kathy's distinctive work continues to evoke enthusiastic responses from ardent supporters and new fans alike.
